Terms of Service
Last updated: July 8, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Evitrace, including our web application and browser extension (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility and accounts
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, including content you submit through the Service.
- If you use Evitrace through an employer or workspace administrator, your use may also be subject to your organization's policies.
Permitted use
Evitrace helps engineers and managers capture work evidence, track competencies, and support career development conversations. You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to:
- Access or attempt to access another user's account without authorization.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users.
- Upload content that is unlawful, misleading, or infringes the rights of others.
- Reverse engineer or misuse the Service except where permitted by law.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit to Evitrace, including evidence entries, feedback, objectives, and related materials. You grant Evitrace a limited license to host, store, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you and, where applicable, members of your workspace.
Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you also agree to that policy.
Third-party services
The Service may integrate with third-party sign-in providers (such as Google or Microsoft) and infrastructure providers. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies.
Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service from time to time. We may also update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Evitrace disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific career or employment outcomes.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Evitrace and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred U.S. dollars if you have not paid us, whichever is greater.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, but provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.
